Translation services In order to give you a price estimate for a translation, we will need to see the text to be translated. Please e-mail it to us at info at finomi.com and we will aim to give you a free, no-obligation quote and estimated delivery time within one day of receiving your request. If the file is too large to be sent by e-mail, please send us part of it and tell us the size of the whole document. If the text is a hard copy, you can fax all or part of it to us on +358 4 460 337 210. All the information contained in any file or fax you send us will be treated in the strictest confidence. The pricing unit for translations is called a translator’s page, which consists of 1560 characters (including spaces) of the source text.
Three translator’s pages are roughly equal to two standard A4 pages. If the text is in hard copy form, we will only be able to give an approximate price estimate and the final price will be calculated according to the length of the finished translation. If a text contains a lot of repetitions and the work mostly involves typing and layout, the job will be charged on an hourly basis. Translations of texts containing a large number of repetitions are fairly priced since modern translation tools “remember” what they have translated and will translate repeated sections automatically. Repetitions are common in product or spare part lists, for example.

For editing and layout services we will give you an estimate based on a price per hour and the number of hours we expect the job to take. Our estimate for the number of hours will be based on the information you give us regarding the service you require - the more details you give us, the more accurate our estimate is likely to be.
